Filmmaking
I got a video camera years ago as a present, during the time when Jackass was huge on MTV and my teenage self thought it would be cool to film myself and my friends doing “extreme” things. These things included jumping out of trashcans at moving cars and riding in a card board box, that was duct taped to a skateboard, down a hill and off of a ramp. I realize now that these were dumb and dangerous but back then it was fun.
Growing up you don’t meet many kids who are seriously into video editing, no one who wants to sit down with your footage and really pick it apart to make it something that will stand out. I think that’s what stopped me from filming more and being more creative with my camera: I didn’t want to endure the tedium of editing my footage.
I’d really love to buy a new video camera, something without that annoying hum that my camera from back in the day has. Maybe if I meet some film majors and they don’t mind editing I’ll get back in the game.
I love to draw up ideas and film them it’s just that I don’t have the patience to edit video.
Maybe you’ll see me on Vimeo sometime soon.
