No-Radio Zack

Yesterday on the drive to work my radio went out mid-song. I had no idea what had happened and was fairly disappointed in the lack of tuneage that would follow.

I took the car over to my Uncle’s today and after finding the fuse to the radio and replacing it twice, we figured out what had happened. The change drawer that sits right under the radio is located next to the cigarette lighter, the place where you plug things in like cell phone chargers and iPod adapters. A penny had drifted from the change drawer into the cigarette lighter, touched the sides of it and blew the fuse in the middle of my drive to work.

Somehow my Uncle spotted the penny in the last place I’d ever expect it to be. We went to Autozone, got some fuses, made the replacements and now I’m back on the road with the windows down and the music up.
